Rotten Records Mailorder accepts all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover), bank/debit cards (As long as they have the Visa/Mastercard/American Express/ Discover logo on the card) and PAYPAL (www.paypal.com) through the on-line store. We accept well-concealed cash (U.S. dollars only!) We accept money orders in U.S. funds and International money orders/in U S, funds. We also accept checks drawn from U.S. bank accounts. Realize that we hold ALL checks for 7 working days before sending your order. We recommend the other listed forms of payment. And sorry, no COD payments.

Yes. The Rotten Records Online Store employs industry-leading e-Commerce technologies and adheres to strict security protocols regarding the handling of confidential user information. All credit card transactions are processed through Authorize.Net, the leading provider of secure online payment gateways and who have dedicated signifcant resources towards fraud prevention and data security.

It is Rotten Records policy that user passwords are never stored in plaintext nor sent over unsecured channels such as e-mail (except for temporary passwords generated for users who have forgotten their login information). All user passwords are encrypted by a one-way hash function before being stored in the database. Rotten Records does not store credit card information after an order has been processed.

Lastly, the Rotten Records Online Store uses HTTP Secure to ensure user privacy. All inbound and outbound traffic is encrypted uses 256-bit AES. This means that you can feel at ease shopping at Rotten Records knowing that your personal data is secure.

Shipping charges are as follows:

Shipping charges for the U.S. are included for orders totaling $13 or less. For orders $13.01 and over the cost is a flat rate of $6.00. Shipping charges for the rest of the world* are $7.00 for any orders totaling $13.00 or less. For orders totaling $13.01 or more it is generally a flat rate of $13.00 airmail, unless you have multiple large items such as hoodies, LP’s, etc and then please contact us for your shipping cost.

Note: Customers from Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, Ecuador, Venezuela, Bolivia, Peru and Argentina will not be able to use credit or debit cards for Rottenrecords.com online shopping. Orders from the aforementioned countries will not be processed. Customers may use PAYPAL, but only if they are a verified buyer through PAYPAL. Any payments from unverified buyers will be immediately returned and your orders will be cancelled. Please use our Online Ordering Form (OOF) when ordering from rottenrecords.com. Customers must use an International Money Order (IMO) or send cash in U.S. Dollars, although we do not recommend sending cash through the mail. It may be more costly and take longer to arrive, but if you are concerned about the safety of your payment, it is recommended that you send your payment via Registered Mail. First time international customers placing large orders may be required to provide additional documents to prove their identity before Rotten will process your order. Any information we require will be kept strictly confidential and will not be shared with any one for any reason. Rotten Records reserves the right to refuse any order we suspect of being fraudulent and is not required to provide you with a reason.

For packages being shipped to U.S. customers: Most orders are shipped either first class mail or priority mail. LP’s are generally shipped USPS media rate mail.

The following prices indicate UPS shipping charges:

  • 3-Day UPS: $10
  • 2-Day UPS: $15
  • Next Day UPS: $20

Remember that normal shipping charges still apply.

All shipping options are in addition to the standard shipping charge per item. The 'day-specific' UPS options do not apply to weekends, or federal holidays (For example, if you order 3-day shipping on a Friday, you will get your package on Wednesday, not Monday!) Important: All rush orders must be submitted by 3:00 pm Pacific Standard Time in order to be guaranteed to ship out that day. Any rush orders received after 3:00 pm are guaranteed to ship out the next business day. For most U.S. customers, a standard order will be processed and shipped between one to two days after payment arrival. All foreign packages are shipped via USPS Priority airmail Mail, which might take anywhere from 7-10 days from the date shipped. Sorry, we have no special option or insurance available for foreign orders at this time. Once an international order leaves the Rotten warehouse we can not track it, and while 99% of the time our foreign deliveries make it to their destination in a timely fashion and in good condition, please remember you are ordering at your own risk and Rotten will NOT be able to reimburse you for or replace any items or orders that go missing or get damaged in the international mail. Rotten Records is NOT responsible for any customs, duties or taxes incurred on your shipment. You are responsible for paying these fees if required by your countries customs agents.
This really depends on a few different factors: order method, where you live, whether you elect to pay for extra shipping options, etc. A typical order for in stock items being shipped to a U.S. address normally takes from a couple of days to two weeks, often less.
Not much unfortunately. Rotten is not able to track or insure any foreign orders, so once they leave our office there is nothing we can do. Sometimes foreign orders get held up in customs, or returned to us because of address problems. Returned orders can be re-shipped, but if a foreign order does not come back to us we cannot compensate customers for lost orders. Foreign orders are at your own risk! ROTTEN RECORDS DOES NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY LOST FOREIGN PACKAGES!
No But, if somehow we do allow you to return an item, you will receive store credit. NO REFUNDS!
We are not responsible for damage to items while in the mail. For more details on how to return damaged items please email our Return Department at rotten(at)rottenrecords.com We cannot be held responsible for foreign orders that get destroyed in the mail. Note: Rotten will not take responsibility for damaged jewel cases where none of the other components of the CD (liner notes, CD itself or backing) are undamaged. Jewel cases are fragile things and postal/shipping workers are clumsy people. Should you receive an otherwise undamaged item in a smashed jewel case, please do not complain to us about it as we can do nothing.

At Rotten Records we accept all material anytime—you don't need prior consent or permission to submit a demo.

The best and quickest way to get your demo heard by Rotten Records is to visit our A&R Myspace Page (myspace.com/rottenrecordsar) and add Rotten as a friend and we will listen to your demo there, we listen to ALL demos submitted in this manner. Do not call or write us to follow up, we do not have time to follow up on every demo we receive. If we are interested someone will contact you. Rotten does not listen to mp3 demos, so do not e-mail MP3’s to us! Also keep in mind that we specialize in metal, punk, hardcore and anything that is extreme or just plain good regardless of style. However, we do not sign singer/songwriters, folk, Christian or anything that far off the deep end.

All stores determine what they stock. Rotten has good, quality distribution so if you do not see Rotten titles in your local record store then ask them if they would stock Rotten titles or special order them for you.
